Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus Producing New Chicago Record
NASHVILLE – (Feb. 8, 2005)- Rascal Flatts vocalist and bass player Jay DeMarcus is currently in the recording studio producing a new album for the band Chicago. The Flatts members- Jay, Joe Don and Gary- began a friendship with Chicago new lead singer Jason Scheff a couple of years ago and have written songs together. Scheff was even a guest vocalist at DeMarcus’ 2004 May wedding and performed “Will You Still Love Me.”
“Chicago was a big influence on all 3 of us growing up. I admire their musical integrity and when the opportunity came up to produce them, I couldn’t let it go by,” says DeMarcus.
Chicago has sold over 120 million albums and placed 20 singles in the top ten with 12 top ten albums.
DeMarcus is working on all off days of the “Here’s to You” Tour to complete the album, which may be out later this year.
